Arnold R. Leiboff, MD, FACS, FASCRS
Dr. Leiboff is a graduate of Rutgers University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College in 1978. He was Chief Resident in General Surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, served as an attending surgeon at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Northport, NY, and completed his fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-UC/Carle Foundation Hospital in 1989. Since 1989 Dr. Leiboff has been practicing Colon and Rectal Surgery on Long Island.
Dr. Leiboff was certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (1986), in Surgical Critical Care by the American Board of Surgery (1987), and in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery (1990).
Dr. Leiboff was recertified by the American Board of Surgery in 1996 and 2007 and was recertified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery in 1999 and 2010.
Dr. Leiboff is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery (FASCRS), a Fellow of the American College of Surgery (FACS), and a Fellow of the New York Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.
Dr. Leiboff was selected by Castle Connolly (2001-2023) and Newsday as one of New York’s Top Doctors, and received Vitals' 2019 Patients' Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Award, and Vitals' 2020 On-Time Doctor Award.
